For years my favorite running commercial is a Nike ad with Joan Benoit, from 1983. I never found it with various searches. It has appeared in a LetsRun thread on “Cool running-related commercials.” (There are other good ones as well.)

Was she living in Portland at the time? I guess the weather’s just as dodgy there as in Maine.

Love this commercial because I think we can all relate somehow to the rising out of bed and feeling all creeky and limping and walking like a little old man or lady but once we get going we are RUNNER!!!!
